I think I would be happier if it was just a hair longer (pardon the pun), but my hair grows quickly, so that shouldn't take long. I can still wear it curly, too, so the curl isn't really "gone." Anyway...

Should I have said, "if it WERE a hair longer"? I'm too tired to think through subjunctive tense verbs.
I miss the good ole days when they were simply just "verbs." Sigh. (And when did pronouns get so many different classifications...is this something new to middle school or is my education from W-town lacking more than I thought??) Isn't it correct using "was" since it has to agree with your "it," & "it" is singular? This is why I get uptight writing anything to an English major...
Love the hair cut on you...also love what I can see of your humble abode.

Kristy, here's my big "English teacher confession"...probably my weakest area is parts of speech (gasp!). I know what is right and wrong, and I know the basics and punctuation and all that jazz, but I probably could not diagram a sentence for you. I think if I had been an English Education major as opposed to an English major, I probably would have been exposed to more of that. Most of what I know has been acquired from Ms. Betts (I loved her!) and two years of working in a Writing Lab in college.

And thanks to both of your for the hair compliments. You know what I hate most about a haircut? That "first time" in public when everyone screeches, "You got a haircut!" Posting it online is different for some reason.
