I'm a wife, mother, daughter, friend, teacher, reader, cook, and TV watcher who was raised in Smalltown USA and now lives in the suburbs of a big city.
You're one day closer to the weekend!! You can do it!! Try to do something special for yourself today to give you the strength to go on. Go get your nails done, buy a great pair of shoes, or take a bubble bath. I suggest anything by Enya while you soak, as well as lit candles & the lights off.
Do something for YOU!! Maybe it's time for a literature/curriculum related video/movie for your classes??
I would LOVE to show a movie...but nowadays that means I would need to fill out a video approval form and include lesson plans and a curriculum map in order to show the movie...
Maybe you need a career change. There are supposed to be other wonderful things you can be with a major in English. Also, can you see yourself feeling like this for years as you plod toward retirement?
Yes, Amy, when soaking, I do listen to Enya. My music tastes are very diverse. I'm not sure if it's a unique quality, or if it's just my multiple personalities coming out! :)
Your mom has a good point. However, how many jobs would give you so much time with your daughter? You could write a best-seller, or work as a consultant for schools...big bucks, create your own hours. We'll need to brainstorm on the best-seller. haha

Also, I feel I should clarify that as far as my home life goes, things are great. All this negativity is 100% work related.
